NEW!!! - Thanks to Associate Member Cyndi Childs and Critical Knowledge - an EMS continuing education program will be offered starting at 9 A.M. prior to the regular meeting at the following meetings- March 17, June 16, August 18th, November 17th and December 15th. Information on the presentation for that meeting will be posted in the meeting announcement. There is no fee to attend this training. Please check off the section of the monthly meeting registration form, when posted, if you are attending so we can plan accordinglty.
In March the presention will be by Peter W. Rug, M.D. FACEP - Well-Being of the Provider: Part II. An emergency physician discusses the importance of firefighters taking charge of their own health, including burden of degenerative disease, nutrition and lifestyle, the obesity epidemic, and the mission of leaders as "change agents".

CFSI Dinner and events - the Congressional Fire Services Institute Dinner will be held on April 28th and 29th. The session opens on April 28th at noon followed by educational seminars. The Massachusetts Legislative Breakfast will be held on Thursday morning April 29th - details on time and location will be posted. At 12:15 a contingent of the Massachusetts Fire Chiefs will place a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Artlington National Cemetery. The CFSI dinner takes place on the evening of April 29th at 7PM at the Hilton Washington, which is the host hotel for the event. the Hilton reservation number is 1-800-445-8667. Make your reservations as early as possible as hotels in the area fill up fast. FCAM members attending the CFSI dinner should send their names and CFSI dinner ticket fee $275/ea to the Secretary by April 1st. It is prefered that the Districts send in the names and the dinner fees. The Secretary will forward the names and fees to the CFSI so that the Masschusetts delegation attending the CFSI dinner will be seated together. Updates will be posted. Those not attending the CFSI dinner but attending the legislative breakfast and/or the presentation of the wreath at Arlington need to send their names to the FCAM Secretary so that we have the proper head counts, particularly for the breakfast.

SAVE THE DATE! The annual Chief Tom Moore/Chief Ed Cloonan FCAM Golf Tournament that benefits Shriners Burn Hospital will be held on Thursday - May 27th at the Kettlebrook Golf Club in Paxton.
