Dear Chief,

The Topsfield Fire Department and the Topsfield Fair invite you to send a piece of apparatus to the Annual Opening Day Parade of the Topsfield Fair.

Units attending are asked to meet at the Fire Station at 27 High Street (Route 97) at 8:15 AM Saturday, September 29, 2017 (rain or shine).  The parade will start promptly at 9:00 AM.

Trophies will be awarded for:

·         Best appearing apparatus under 5 years old

·         Best appearing apparatus 5 years and older

·         Oldest in service

·         Best appearing antique

·         Judges Trophy

Also, as in years past, the parade will end at the Fairgrounds, where refreshments will be served.  Personnel (maximum 4 please) accompanying apparatus will be guests of the Fair enjoying free admission.  In the interest of public safety, we ask that you not use your sirens or air horns in the vicinity of the town common as there will be many animals and children in close proximity. 

All apparatus are asked to leave the parking areas of the fairgrounds by 1400 hours.
