[ARCHIVED] 15th Anniversary of the Station Nightclub Fire - West Warwick, RI

Next Tuesday, February 20, 2018 marks the 15th anniversary of the Station Nightclub Fire in West Warwick, RI. This fire was the catalyst for the Fire Sprinkler Incentive Act, and we are planning a special memorial service/press conference at the burn site next Tuesday. The event will occur at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time and will be carried via LIVE STREAM. Details on how to access the live stream are forthcoming from our media team, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up. Confirmed speakers include U.S. Fire Administrator Keith Bryant, Station Nightclub survivors Rob Feeney and Gina Russo, Chief Tom Jenkins, President of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, Chief Ron Siarnicki, Executive Director of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, Bill Webb, Executive Director of the Congressional Fire Services Institute, Jim Pauley, President of the National Fire Protection Association, and of course NFSA President Shane Ray. This event will honor those who died and the survivors, and also celebrate the advocacy success realized with fire sprinkler incentives included in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.   Stay tuned for all the details and coverage, but mark your calendars for Tuesday, February 20th if you'd like to tune in live. We will send a media advisory on Monday with complete link & details so you can share with all of your contacts.
